While that version was rudimentary compared to the final game, it was massively popular on itch.io and inspired us to make the full game. This is arguably the most powerful melee enemy attack in the game as it is used almost instantly towards players when in range. We originally developed Paint the Town Red as a game jam game in late 2014 for the 7DFPS Game Jam over the course of 6 days.
Much like the bolt, this attack does very high damage and can't be blocked.

The Deceiver will use many of the original teleporter's abilities, including homing bolts and teleportation, though far more powerful than other teleporters. Their yellow slit eyes, various yellow spots, and shoulder horns are now orange. Its pale colored face is now a dark grim grey. The Deceiver takes the appearance of a Teleporter with a much darker tone.
